Understanding Patient Perspectives and Acceptability of Integrative Palliative Care in Metastatic Cancer

This research project aims to explore how patients with metastatic cancer experience and accept integrative palliative care, which combines conventional cancer treatments with complementary therapies such as hyperthermia, IV Vitamin C, mistletoe lectins, nutraceuticals, repurposed pharmaceuticals, nutritional and lifestyle counselling.

The goal is to better understand patients’ views, feelings, and challenges related to these care approaches in order to improve symptom management and quality of life.

An Integrative Oncology Approach for Stage IV Cancer: Case Series/Reports

The purpose of this research is to describe and evaluate the clinical outcomes of patients with stage IV cancer who have received integrative oncology care at IHC. This care includes naturopathic therapies such as modulated electrohyperthermia (mEHT), intravenous vitamin therapy, targeted supplementation, immune support, and lifestyle counseling.

The study aims to contribute to the scientific literature by documenting exceptional patient outcomes in real-world clinical practice. Our team at the Integrated Health Clinic will reach out to patients with exceptional clinical outcomes to invite them to participate in this study.

An Integrative Naturopathic Treatment Model: A Chart Review of Survival Outcomes

This study employed a retrospective chart review design to assess overall survival outcomes associated with the integrative naturopathic treatment model, including hyperthermia using mEHT, administered at the Integrated Health Clinic in Fort Langley and White Rock, BC. The chart review covered the period from 2010 to 2024. Patients receiving integrative naturopathic treatment were compared to controls sampled from the SEER database, a de-identified, publicly available database of cancer cases in the United States.

The results of our first two papers have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented internationally at multiple conferences:

COLORECTAL CANCER (CRC)

and

GLIOBLASTOMA MULTIFORME (GBM)
